“Amanda is amazing! She is super friendly, organised, and immensely talented at what she does. As a same-sex, interracial couple, it was important to us that our photographer be able to capture non-heteronormative couple poses, and also capture the different skin tones in our photos. Amanda does this and more - we had a brunch ceremony and reception and thus midday / early afternoon light instead of the typical late afternoon / evening event and sunset light. We were slightly worried about how this would affect the photos, but we just got the sneak peeks, and they look wonderful! In addition, Amanda has just the right balance of giving prompts for us to pose vs giving us the space to be ourselves. Rob, Amanda’s husband, was our second photographer. He was super helpful and would suggest different areas / poses for us. We loved our engagement photos, and the sneak peek of the wedding photos, and are excited to see the rest of them! Overall, we loved loved loved having Amanda and Rob as our photographers. They even got some shots of us with our dog Frankie while we were getting ready, which are super cute! Finally, Amanda was more than just a photographer - she would tell us to reach out to her if we needed anything, which was really reassuring. On the morning of our wedding, our printer malfunctioned while we were trying to print bilingual versions of our ceremony for relatives. We texted Amanda, and she promptly helped us to print and even staple the copies - lifesaver!! If you are looking for a photographer, you can’t go wrong with Amanda!!”
“One of the best decisions we made in regards to our wedding was to hire Amanda as our wedding photographer. It didn’t feel like we were working with a vendor but rather that we were working with close friends. We haven’t even gotten our full gallery back yet, but I know that we will be absolutely thrilled once we do because every photo and every moment working with Amanda and Rob has been absolutely wonderful. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that we felt comfortable on our big day and that every precious moment was captured! She has such a great eye for details and a nice chill yet effective way of wrangling people for photos. On our wedding day, she not only remembered where we had our first date from a conversation we had months earlier, but suggested we take a picture in front of a print we had of the location hanging in our apartment. This ended up being one of my favourite photos, and all the more impressive because it was in a corner of our kitchen I had never thought of as particularly beautiful until seeing the end result.
She was incredibly quick in responding to our many questions and also very quick at providing us with sneak peaks for both our engagement and wedding photos. Our photos are so beautiful and my new husband keeps laughing at how much I tear up looking at them. I’m so very grateful that we found her and cannot recommend her enough - anyone who hires her is very lucky.”
