What we do
We are a women-owned and operated catering company focusing on modern Pan-Asian cuisine. Our head chef and owner, Jane Tran has worked in Michelin-Starred restaurants in New York City and London, but has ultimately chosen catering in her hometown of Toronto. For weddings, Jane loves working with couples to elevate their favourite traditional meals into elegant, modern wedding feasts. We pride ourselves on making the wedding dinner as unique as each of our couples.

“Chau is incredible! Chef Jane, Ashley and their team were amazing to work with; from menu ideation, tasting, presentation and service on our wedding day. Everything was amazing. Chau also partners with a event rental company, helping us streamline our process acquiring tables and chairs. Chef Jane’s all vegan menu ideas were SO GOOD. Between the beautiful (still all vegan) charcuterie spread, cold noodle salad ending with “pulled pork” and vegan mapo tofu bao. Our friends still rave about how good everything tasted. On our wedding day, Ashley and their team were excellent. The team was super fast, easy to work with and had amazing attention to detail; they even helped us our dessert display from a 3rd party. Ashley’s check in as her team wrapped up for the night was something we both appreciated: Ashley was super clear about what had gotten done and anything that remained to do on our end. We are so happy we chose Chef Jane and the team for our wedding ”
“Chau Catering provided phenomenal service for our wedding! Leading up to it they were very professional , communicated well, and were able to design a lovely custom menu based on our requests that had both Chilean and Jewish elements to it.
On the day of the wedding, they were able to do a very fast flip of the venue from the ceremony to the reception, and set up the tables exactly to our requests. Their servers and bartenders were all friendly, capable, and accommodating. Jane herself was on site, and coordinated her team effectively. We did not have a wedding planner/coordinator, but nonetheless Jane worked so well with us and we were able to enjoy the whole wedding. Clean up was seamless at the end, and days after the wedding we had multiple family members asking us about the caterer, all of who we’ve recommended them to as well!”
